Alberta Canada: Johnson’s Canyon, Lake Louise, Moraine Lake, Emerald Lake

We love travelling and exploring new places, and love the fact that we always have beautiful photos from our adventures to look back on. Here are some of our photos from our very spontaneous trip to Alberta, Canada. We explored Johnson’s Canyon on our first day… some of the most scenic paths were the ones off the main tracks. We ate some poutine and drank local beer in Banff Town. We drove in the dark to reach Morraine Lake to watch the Sunrise… one of the highlights of our trip was spending time at this stunning blue lake, watching the tips of the mountains surrounding it turn pink and later to be engulfed in mist. Lake Louise was like we stepped into a painting, we had to pinch ourselves to make sure we weren’t dreaming. We took a road trip from Banff to Jasper and from Jasper to Yoho. The journey itself was the attraction, it was scenic ahead of us, and scenic looking back at the rear view mirror, it was scenic on both sides of the road. Much of the road was lined with stunning, colourful wildflowers and the road trip took a lot longer because we kept stopping to take photos! Our very last day and night was spent at Emerald Lake in Yoho National Park. We stayed in a cosy cabin right next to the lake and spent the day on the lake lazing about in a canoe.

Such an amazing place, we can’t wait to come back in winter!
