Capri is what holiday dreams are made of, and it will forever have a special place in our hearts. This was our very first time to Capri and it was such an amazing experience.

      GETTING THERE & ACCOMODATION

We flew into Naples International Airport then took an Alibus to the port where we took a hydrofoil boat to Capri. Even though we were exhausted from our long haul flight from Australia, as the boat go closer to the Island of Capri, we were wide awake with excitement. We docked at Marina Grande, it was just bustling full of people and the marina itself was just beautiful. Once we got off the boat, we were a bit stumped as to where our accomodation was and how to get there. It seemed like it would be a mission to get to our accomodation with all our luggage, so we opted to catch an open-air taxi which was worth the experience itself.

Our accomodation was Villa Olga Luxury Capri. We absolutely loved our stay there, the views from our accomodation was some of the best views you could get. The common areas and gardens around the villa was also amazing, we loved hanging out in these areas in between our sight seeing schedule.

MARINA PICCOLA BEACH & PRIVATE BOAT TOUR

Our accomodation was only a short work to Marina Piccola Beach which in my opinion was so much more beautiful than Marina Grande.

We would come down here most days, the water was so clear and the colours were indescribable. One of the afternoons we booked a private boat to take us around the island. It was such a beautiful way to see Capri and I highly recommend it. I couldn’t resist jumping in the water for a swim at one of the Grottos. But I all of sudden started feeling 100s of stings on my body. I kept exclaiming every time I felt a sting and I was calling out that I wanted to get back on the boat. Kostas was laughing because he thought they were fish that he could see swimming near me and that were just brushing against me. There was another couple swimming nearby who were also laughing thinking the same thing. But once the couple swam closer to me they started yelling and the girl was thrashing and screaming. I think it was then that Kostas realised I might be in trouble and pulled me out of the water. We found out that I had been stung by a swarm of tiny jelly fish. Ouch! Luckily this happened quite far on to our boat ride and the stings only lasted a couple of hours.

ANACAPRI & IL RICCIO RESTAURANT AND BEACH CLUB

On our last day, we did a trip to the town Anacapri which was a bit further away from our accomodation. I loved browsing through the town’s shops and you can even get custom made sandals that just look stunning. For lunch we went to Restaurant Il Riccio which also has a beach club. Oh my gosh! Just stunning! Situated right next to the Blue Grotto, you can go for a swim then come up to eat at the restaurant with the most wonderful views. And much of my excitement was for their Blue Room which is a refrigerated room filled with the most scrumptious Italian desserts. HEAVEN! We had a long, long lunch, followed by desserts and cocktails up at the Beach Club. It really was an indulgent way to spend our last day in Capri.

      our amazing hosts

We absolutely loved our stay at Villa Olga Luxury Capri. Our hosts were so accommodating, their English wasn’t the best but that was part of the fun in trying to communicate.
