We are always flying off overseas, and this time we decided to stay local-ish. About a 3 hr drive away, we had booked a cute airbnb in Tenterfield for a couple of nights on the recommendation of a friend. Despite living in Queensland most of our life we had never really ventured out to Stanthorpe or Granite Belt.

On our way to Tenterfield we dropped by Tobin Wines for some wine tasting… and EDUCATION. We met Adrian Tobin himself who exuded passion for wines and wine making.

Next we checked into our airbnb which was at the back of one of the oldest men’s ware shop in Australia – Flanagans. There was a cute room, a living area, kitchen and courtyard, all furnished with old world charm.

Kostas enjoyed some bike riding and we had a picnic and enjoyed our “outback” experience.

On our way back home we did some more wine tastings and dropped by Girraween Estate Winery, Balancing Rocks Wines and Pyramids Rd Wines.
