Have you ever been to a Surprise Wedding? Kristina and Andrew chose to surprise their friends at their engagement party by turning it into a wedding.
Going non-traditional, Andrew and Kristina got ready together. They chose to get ready at the gorgeous Calile Hotel – their room had a rooftop terrace overlooking Brisbane city. We took wedding portraits for Kristina and Andrew and their immediate family at Calile Hotel where they had an intimate lunch time celebration.
Kristina then changed out of her wedding dress and into her engagement party dress. We headed to SouthBank where their engagement party was being held at The Stoke House. We took some engagement photos – this is a first for us, taking wedding portraits before the engagement photos!
Then the engagement party began, no one was suspicious as the party started just like any engagement party. On the other end of the The Stoke House, the wedding ceremony was being set up with beautiful flowers by Fig Flower Events. As the Sun started to set, Kristina quietly slipped away to get changed and waited in the wedding ceremony room. Andrew then ushered all the guests to the other side of The Stoke House. Guests were eyes wide and mouths open as they walked through to see a stunning Kristina in a Karen Willis Holmes bridal gown!
I’m sure people are still talking about that time Kristina and Andrew surprised them!
